Sticker Removal
I've got a couple of questions about removing stickers.
First, there's some kind of sticker on the back window bragging about how concerned BMW is about the environment. Unfortunately, it's right in the middle of your view from the mirror. Looking at it, I'm a little worried about using a razor or chemicals to get it off since the heating elements are also on the inside of the window. Any suggestions? Second, whenever the windshield gets wet the letters BWM RESORT DRIVING TOUR appear in block letters across the top of the windshield. I've tried a razor, goo gone, Windex, etc. to no effect. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

as for the sticker on the back window. I would use a razor to lift one edge of it and snugly pull it off moving slowly from one corner / edge to the other on the opposite side. Afterwards you will be left with a glue on the window, I would use mineral spirits or some other solvent to remove the glue. Maybe goo b gone but it will take a while. Just remember the more harsh the chemical the more ventilated and careful you need to be. As for the letters one the windshield i would use a good solvent on the entire window What you are likely seeing is a build up of road grime on the rest of the window but where the stickers were this grim is not present thus making it shed water faster or not allowing due to sit on that portion of the window. You might even be able to use something like rain x as it has a light solvent in it too.

As an aside, what was the car's life like before you that it had BMW RESORT DRIVING TOUR affixed to its windshield!?! |

Simple Green removes sticker and tint residue from glass without harming defogger printed wires. You may need to use a glass polish to remove the residual shadow effect on your front windshield banner area.

Likely his issue was the opposite. the window where the sticker was is much cleaner than the rest of the window thus causing mist to repel that area while sticking to the rest of the window.

The resort drive location varies. Last year we stayed at a Marriott resort in San Antonio and had the opportunity to use a 640 convertible for a day at no cost. The car had the BMW resort tour sticker on the windshield.

It will soften the adhesion and should peel right off. |

Thanks
Thanks for all the advice. I've got most of the sticker off the back window. Just need to finish cleaning up the glue. Tried several things on the windshield. Still has the resort driving message when wet. It's not particularly noticeable. Hopefully, will fade more with time.

Fyi, some detailed websites also sell plastic razors that are safer for this sort of thing. Particularly for removing stickers from paint...
