Brushed Aluminum vs Silver Matte Trim

So I am looking to be getting into a new 3.0 soon, I am going to order it. DO you guys think there is much of a difference between these two trims? Is it worth $500, if I did not order it from the factory would this be something I could change myself?

Trim

I have the standard trim. Much liked the alum. trim, the standard trim is just silver plastic. But I got such a good lease, I took whats on the floor. The dealer looked into changing the trim to make the deal happen, it was $1000's for labor.

do you know if the aluminum silver is really aluminum? I ask only because I know it looks like aluminum, but still feels like plastic.

Thanks for the input!

^ I concur. I HATE fake aluminum trim in any car (stupid trend IMO) but I'm okay with the real alu in my Z4.
