I love the car

Wheels and color combo are not really doing it any justice. The various photoshops look great.

What the hell is up with the badges. Its not a Zdrive35i. It looks like a 5 possibly. But why would a Z have 5 on it? Besides that, the whole badge is just a cluster *uck.

The new BMWs will have Sdrive to indicate RWD models and Xdrive to denote AWD.

Veeeeery interesting, but I will still like mine much more

BTW, the interior looks really cozy, but those times when z4s weighted just over 1500kg are over

Large weight = poor handling and performance, but I hope I'm wrong

It looks stunning, but I can't help but say that I feel slightly disappointed. I can't put my finger on it, but there's a missing X factor. I think I need to see it in coupe form. Right now it looks great, but with an improved roofline I think I might be looking at roadster perfection.

I love pretty much ever single this about this car barring the roofline (which looks bubbly). The front looks great, and the rear is hard to falter. It needs a drop and some new wheels.

It does remind me of this a little:

Overall I think it's a great car. It's obvious that the new Z4 shares a lot with the current LCI 3 series designwise. I just wish that BMW will consider adding LED turning lights now rather than later during facelift. The white plastic side indicators looks sort of out of place with the rest of the car (watch the videos and you'll see what I mean). I think the one on the E92 M3 will look good on the new Z4. I agree with others that the standard 17s are a bit small for this car, and I'm a bit worried about boot space given the hardtop design.

As for the interior it's refreshing but at the same time very familiar. The extended leather option gives the car a very luxurious appeal. I feel like it'll only take me ten minutes or so to get to know all the buttons on this car coming from my 3 series. I'm sure it'll handle well and I look forward to seeing it soon.

The first thing I'll do when I get mine home is get out the hair dryer and dental floss and de-badge the sides and trunk lid. The I'm gonna remove the vertical slats from the front grilles. Then I'm gonna put some wheel spacers on it to fill out the fender wells. After that it will need nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I think the Z4 M will get a turbocharged motor. That is heavily rumored to be the route the route they are going for the F1x M5/M6 and F3x M3. I strongly suspect that the Z4 M will get a brand new M-developed turbocharged inline six (possibly based on the N54 as a starting point, possibly not).

The other question is - will there be a Z4 (M or otherwise) coupe? If so what is that - the e88? It can't be "e90" since that is taken.

I LOVE this car!!

I just pray BMW finds a creative way to put the hideous front orange bumper reflectors on it that doesn't ruin the US models. Perhaps something like the E92 (and LCI E90) reflectors. If they just stick big reflectors on the front of the bumpers like they did on the E90/E92 M3 it will be a HUGE eye sore on this car (even if you replace them with painted or clear reflectors).

Otherwise, I hope they do make coupe and M versions but can understand from a business standpoint if they don't. I'll take one with a 6MT and my golf clubs in the passenger seat!! ha ha

According to the press release, the trunk will hold a set of golf clubs, and it will hold two golf bags with the top up and the pass-thru from the trunk to cabin open. Golf bag capacity will soon pass 0-60 time as the most important spec for a sports car.
