In italy, I got difficulties with BMW official shop. Perhaps, I would be easier to drive in India to have the installation together. Jokes apart, I looked at the paddles pics, and I have a qustion: I noted that only 1 paddle has got an electrical wire for the connect; the other one seems to be without wires. How did you install the paddles? Bye. |

I was a bit unsure when I received the kit too, the site didn't have pics of the product when I ordered. I assumed, I was the first one to order that part from them. The downshift (left) paddle uses the stock plug where as the up-shift (right) paddle uses an extra wire/plug to work. I'm not sure about the technical reasoning but once everything plugs in, it all works perfectly. They are so much nicer to use, softer & quicker than the old shifters.

I succeeded on my 2011. Took some pictures and started writing it up, but looks like you beat me to posting it. The parts from EAS are exactly what you need. Very simple if you're comfortable removing the airbag.

Just did this upgrade in my 2009 35i Exit push/pull, enter pull/pull. :-D
Installs without any modifications or reprogramming needed. You only need to pop the airbag. Make sure you follow proper instructions on the airbag removal. Unplug battery and bleed the electrical system before fiddling with the airbag. I installed the BMW originals from the latest models. Will have the number(s) next week. |

I did the former upgrade, but the new Z4 paddles still leave something to be desired compared to my OEM M3 paddles. |
