New Car replacing EXHAUST?

Hi,

Thinking of going for an Quad Exchaust - but want to know if there are any issues with warranty?

My initial thoughts are to just replacing the rear back boxes.

I know with an JB4 there are benefits of removing the cats and implementing Down Pipes - but not sure I want to go fo such modifications to the car.

Regards

Q

BMW can always try to blame your mod for a problem that develops. You takes yer chances.

BMW NA is very mod not friendly. That being said, they will still have to prove the modification led to the demise of the part being replaced - of course it may take a law suit to keep their feet to the fire. I would have gone with BMW Performance exhaust on my Z4 35i, but they don't make anything for our cars. Ended up with Remus axle backs. Nice deep rumble now, and pops on up shift. Buyer beware, but a good quality axle back should not affect back pressure data to a point causing problems. Downpipes and possible over spooling a turbo b/c of changed pressures - plausible. But if they want to deny a claim, they will find a way to deny the claim.
