I haven't get car back to track it as much. For 5 hard laps session oil temp went really high. I haven't experience lipm mode due to oil temp yet but pretty sure that will be issue. Also brake is weak and fade after 3 laps. I'm doing research to have custom bracket to fit BMW performance brake in the back right now. I haven't install bmw performance brake to the front yet due to my concern of brake balance. IS rear upgrade could be help for balance but won't hold against the heat after 4-5 laps anyway so I do not want to spend money on IS rear brake at this moment. For wheels I'm really JDM guy and has all volks , workwheel on most of my car. I might look into BBS but not sure about offset that will fit into tis wide body. I never had BBS before and I don't know if I can order custom offset. thanks for great advise on BBS I will look into it.

One other thing to check on is the DCT temp. I don't have a way to measure these but I noticed sometimes the shifting is extremely sluggish. In another thread Ashjorn posted that our DCT doesn't have the same cooling equipment as the M3 DCT so perhaps you would benefit from trying to install that part. (this is about the time I decide just to keep stock and enjoy as a hairdresser car ) |

What a pity. The M5 engine would definately rock - if it would fit... I would also consider BBS wheels - like nicknaz -, to keep consistent the style. JDM wouldn't go with the GT3 style, in my opinion. If you won't find any good wheels at BBS, they also have an individual program, where you will probably find your rims. Klick Regarding the performance brakes - it's no problem to use the F30 performance brakes at the front with the 370 mm discs. They also work with the rear standard brakes w/o any problems - here in Germany, several e89 has done this upgrade so far. Fit 1 by 1 and they are relatively cheap. A rear upgrade is difficult, because of the electric park brake. Perhaps Porsche calipers would fit, because they also have electric park brakes on most of their cars. |

With upgrading the rear to be IS would make the balance work better but after couple lap of heat , they will lose balance threshold. I'm more than happy to ignore e parking brake. Just wonder which caliper will bolt onto it.

Have you thought about going straight to BMW Motorsports and ordering some body panels for a Z4 GT3? I'd bet that they bolt right on to our chassis.

I doubt they would even sell it to you... I know it's not BMW, but I frequent over on the Mercedes forum and I know they talk about ways to get Black Series parts when you don't own a Black Series. Ultimately, no way around it. As in, in order to order Mercedes OEM Black Series parts, you need to have a Black Series car/VIN. I'd imagine it would be the same with the GT3...

only thing I might add is you could change the front bumper instead of the lower part sticking out you could you could probably give it another try, too many companys make a similar design .
