I think Tot was referring to fre's post. Smart top is an add on module to give some additional features to the car, mostly involving the roof. If you haven't made any changes to your car and you are the original owner, you don't have it.

I had both the triangle symbol along with the car on the lift and for me it indicated that the battery was discharging even when stopped. It came and went. I brought it to the dealer and at first they simply charged the battery. It was okay for a short time and then it started showing the symbols again. Again it would appear and then not appear for a day or more and back again. The dealer ended up replacing my battery back in the early Spring and I have not had a problem since then. My car also always turned right over. They did not charge me for the new battery.

Sounds very much like my problem. I am exited to see what they do to my car. When I talked to the service guy, I said he thought it was the battery though.

And then it finally happened...car didn't start. Have been driving pretty much all day, since the beautiful weather. Then car stood for about an hour before I went only 2kms to my parents house. The start when I left their house was very tired, and then I went by the store maybe 1km away. The car didn't start. Felt like battery was completely dead. Controls went totally wacko, got all kinds of lights and warnings. Called my brother who came with his car, connected to the battery and it started perfect on the first try. You can always trust a SAAB

Didn't expect this when buying a 2011 BMW. Do BMW manufacture these batteries themselves or is it third party?

Got my car back. They replaced the battery. They said it had a capacity of maximum 27%. Hmm, what could have happened to it when the car is only 5-6 months old? Anyway he showed me a list of things they did. The registered the battery, resetted computers (IBS? I think he said) They ran diagnostics and he said that nothing had been drawing power from the battery when the car was shut off.

Just a really bad battery then?
