Alex,
You have the aluminium trim in the air intake - will you install them in the same place?

lookin awesome. Like how it's not as blue as OP.

How's the visibility during daytime?

and +1 on the positive outlook. Call me perverted/rice but those LED strips on Merc's and the new Holdens and of course AUDI's always make me look!

Stig: The LED H8 bulbs I'm thinking of getting are for the circular corona rings in the headlights. I won't be doing Z4Phuket's intake trim mod; that uses strip LED's and looks a bit beyond my capabilities to hook up!

I think the new Cayman/Boxster has them in the same place too.

How did you remove the H8 bulbs? I have the LED but I have been wondering how to remove them. The manual asks to twist them out but I can't on my car. I have a screw post on the way.

Removing H8 bulb, just twist out, but need some strong fingers and force.
on Right side twist to the left, and vice-versa

Thanks all other comments regarding my DRL

Ok finally got it. I changed mine to an LED kid but they are not nearly as bright as the OEMs so I swapped them back...

Phuket, can you take a photo for the led/grills with the lights off from a different angle, to see how these are fitting and how your shop did the cable work...??
This is awesome and very inspiring...

The cable work: You need to connect from H8/angel eyes bulb, since LEDs draw very little power, no lamp error fault

Ya, doesn't look anything like an Audi...now it looks like a Merc.

j/k! I think it looks very unique and tastefully done. Great job!

Z4 LED Grill Mod by Z4@phuket

Great mod with the LED in the intake grill Z4@Phuket

Would like to have them done to my Z4 as well. You mentioned it cost US$40 to have your shop mod the LEDs on both sides?

Please let me know how I can get my grill parts to you for this modification. I'm from Asia as well but currently in Europe so will have to do it via mail.

Thanks for the info!

My 2012 angel eye rings look pretty yellow. Did this change come part way through the year?

no to 2012 and LED, still yellow - the change will be with the LCI of 2013; look at the current forum discussion on the 2013 Z4 LCI for details

Just visited a showroom. They have a second hand 10,000 km Murcielago, Gianni Versace limited edition (20 cars around the world) asking for 24 million baht (800K US$)
