I hope you are right but my guess is you will NOT be able to open the top from the key fob if you do not have CA. BTW, my salesman made several mstakes (on the alarm and on the iphone adapter options) and the delaership refunded me over $1000 due to their mistakes. I wanted a new vehicle but I could not get them to do it and a lawyer told me I could not win. Very disappointing but I love the Z anyway. The salesman has since been fired !! Good luck !!

this thread seems very tense.....
Comfort access is an option so all the features it has are options....My key fob does not charge, it has a battery that is not rechargeable. I was making the mistake of putting it in the dash on long trips but was told by the dealer it wasn't required (and also by a zillion others on different forums). Have a lovely day....and stop scrapping or I'm taking the keys away from you
