I haven't seen any pictures either and the showmodel in Brussels also had an automatic airco. You will have to wait till they put out the new brochures because in the small one they hand out now there only pictures of one car...
But why would you want this... Grtz Ramius |

Once you've had one you don't want to go back any more! It's al lot more userfriendly than a manual one. Winter or summer, top open or top closed, you put in the temp you desire and that's it... easy like h*ll. To me that's really a no-brainer.

you can go to bmw.com main page and select visualizer in the z4 webpage. if you zoom in you will be able to see the cabin as its stands without option (eg manual AC, basic radio etc...)

In Norway there are only one option and that is the automatic one. Standard.

well, of course it is better.. now, must admit that the extra cost might not be fully justified if you want to limit the cost of the options , for same price you get park distance for ex. i was to take it, but now seriously consider sticking to standard one, why ? because the standard looks as good as the automatic one (contrary to other bmw where manual air conditionning looks very cheap) and because feature such as righ/left independant settings do not make really sense in such a tight cabin.. again, if want to pay for it, always better, but if need to have abritrage between options, would rather save and opt for other option (better also for resale). had manual air in mercedes slk and worked pretty well.

Plus, if he drives the car long enough, he maybe does not have to care about resale value. I drove my 325i for 7 1/2 years now and 311'000 km - all I can do with this car now is give it to the dealer to ship it to Lybia. The options the car has have little impact on the price in this scenario. PS: You can't sell a car in this price range without automatic air con in Switzerland as well - which is why automatic air con is standard in our market. |

I think that is important for anyone to have an automatic AC, even more for a sunny hot country like Greece! Yes, but...
I have to tell you, that the Greek market for the used cars, is going from bad to worse!! The prices are very low, noone is buying used cars this period and many used-cars dealers are closing their companies. The financial crisis hit Greece strong and the sales even of the new cars is down about -40 to -45% than last year. For example, my previous car was a Peugeot 307 cabrio full extra, which I bought new 30.000 euro. After four and a half years and about 90.000 kilometres noone showed any interest for my car, noone!! So I had to sell it for 11.000 euro, to buy my new Z4. A few months earlier, before the crisis came to Greece, the price that they were giving for my car was about 14.000-15.000. The truth is that here, in Greece, only a little percent of the car byers worry for the resale value of a new car. Why this? The answer is that, here the cars are very expensive because of the high taxes. For example the new Z4 sDrive23i will cost here about 50.000 to 55.000 euro starting price for the basic car. The same time, the same car costs in Germany 35.900 euro. Furthermore, the Germans are much more rich than the Greeks, because the "middle" salary is much more higher there than here. So, when you have to resell a car that you bought 55.000, what will be your price? Maybe 35.000 to 40.000 euros, for a second-hand car, which the same time costs 35.900 euro in Germany NEW!! So if you are Greek and you want a used Z4 you will buy it from Germany... And if you are Greek and you bought a new Z4 you have to sell it in a very lower price than you bought it as new. That's why the resale value of a car is not important in Greece. |

Offtopic: the used cars have actually went up in price now because everybody are buying used and there are not enought cars. For the first time in many years we are going to sell other cars like VW in our shop. We dont have enought cars so we are selling some of the trade in cars... I actually have to say good things about a car i dont like

Just found it: Go to www.bmwusa.com and into the "Owners" section. You will find the manual for 30i and 35i there. |
