Z4 in Yosemite

Just would like to share some pics from my recent Yosemite Valley and Hetch Hetchy Dam trip. Drove on some forest access road, fire lanes (up to a helicopter pad) and etc.

I liked picture number 4, the sound of the exhaust must have echoed nicely as you started her up again .... nice car, love the color combination.

Awesome scenery! Planning to head over there next week as part of my vacation trip. Never been. How many days did you stay?

Nice pics. I was there way back in '95. If I recall, the road south towards Mariposa Grove would have been nice in the Z4. We had a minivan.

Pic #4 was taken on some forest access road leading up to a ranger fire look out. It had a helicopter landing pad pretty neat, the road wasn't on google map, but I managed to find the entrance of the road using street view.

Pic#7 was in Stanislaus National forest, and on again a forest access road, I drove for 30 min on that road without any other vehicles in either direction, pretty surreal.

flpnout- go to Glacier point, Hetch Hethchy Dam and do some hiking if you have the chance.

I was hoping my Z would be the first one into Yosemite valley, but obviously that was wishful thinking, on Glacier point I saw another red 35i.

On my trip, it was too early in the season, Glacier Point and the high country were still closed due to snow. We still spent a week in the valley, hiking every day, including Half Dome in a single day! I don't know if I could still do that.

It's sad that of the millions of Yosemite visitors, I hear only a small % actually get out and hike.
