anyone install a rear-facing carcam?

Thinking of the idea for an *in cabin* one but dunno where to place it since it's a convertible and I have the wind deflector. Anyone have a good setup? The front carcam was easy as I just placed it under the rearview mirror mount. TIA.

How did you hook it up to your screen (or did you)?

I'm thinking about putting in a recorder:

Would want to hook up the rear to come on when I throw it in reverse and I would mount the main one next to the rear view mirror.

No idrive so no screen; it's just the carcam.

I guess no one installed a rear carcam then.

Hey Tranquility,

Not sure how you could wire the 2nd cam (rear mounted) with the top going up/down...unless there's a wireless rear cam version available.

I was thinking that it would be fixed to the area directly behind the wind deflector, w/ the wire going underneath it, or on the top part of the wind deflector? Definitely can't be affixed to the roof.

I think there will be lots of wind noise picked up by the audio on the cam though...my 2 cents.

Probably best to use the hook inside one of the roll hoops.

Yup, but I never record audio, don't want my conversations being taped lol.
