Carlisle Import Car Show

I attended and displayed my car at the Carlisle Import Car Show yesterday. German cars were featured this year and there were probably at least 100 BMWs on display. Mine was the only E89. There was one Z8 and it was a beauty. Weather cooperated as the rain held off until 3 pm. Nittany Bimmers of Central PA had a tent and a very nice spread of food. Kudos to them!

I went to a muscle car and classic car show outdoors the other night with my son. We pulled in and lots of people looked very closely at the car and took pictures. We had a few people come up to us and tell us that they couldnt get over how much the car has improved dramatically in appearance.

You would have got a lot more people looking at it if you'd of had Space Grey instead of black!!

Nah - red is better. Wait - let's have another poll on the best colour. Not.

alan64 - maybe I'll bump into you when we move to Winnipeg this summer. We bought a place at the bottom end of St. Vital, near St. Mary's and the perimeter highway. My commute to 17 Wing is going to suck, but I was just in town last week, and I hope it stays that hot & sunny for a while longer. More weather to cruise with the top down!

its beautiful all summer long, if you can stand the mosquitos that are about to come out in the shade and at night. You will be mostly looking forward to winter, when you can book a flight out of here to Hawaii.

Nittany is our Chapter up here. Sorry I missed it as I've been trying to shake this cold of mine for the past 2 weeks! We would have looked good together--a white and blk E89 on display!

Maybe next year. I transferred my local club from the Capital Region to Nittany. Many of the get togethers are just up the road from me in the Carlisle/Mechanicsburg area, a lot easier than driving down to DC. I hope to make the meet in Hershey and the summer picnic.

Summer pic was nice last year. Not sure if I can make it this year.
I just sent out an email to members about BMW's Driving Event comparing the new 5er and other series to the competition. It's June 8th in Lancaster. I'm scheduled for noon
