Mud flaps?

Anyone running the factory mud flaps/splash guards?

Front P/N 82162147258

Rear P/N 82162147261

Any photos of them on the car?

Have either of you seen how they actually look?

While I don't have plans to put them on my Z4, I can understand why someone who lives where the weather isn't so great all year around, or are forced to drive on unpaved roads, that they may want to protect the lower body. To each his/her own.

Don't take offense, but Silver-bolt was asking if anyone had them on their car, and if there were any pictures of what they look like on the car, not opinions as to how they may look on the car.

Thanks Mr Breeze. Not great looking but not as bad as I expected. I think I will play the wait and see game.

I think the color of the car makes a big difference as to how they look and/or if they stand out too much. (but then again, a spray of road slop/grime on the lower body doesn't look that great either)

I have on my car don't look too bad but then again the car is black so they sort of blend in and it's not to noticeable. If my car was white or red I wouldn't have done them; silver maybe.

A bit pedantic there old chap, Just trying to give the OP a bit of advice, I was going to have them fitted to my car but changed my mind as I realized they look naff on a sports car.

I prefer putting a clear bra on the rocker panel. I considered these myself but then thought they impact the look too much...

I hate it but had to do it. I installed the flaps today. The Mrs route to work is covered in leaves on construction sludge. The sides of the car were getting covered in mud and grime. It was even kicked up on both mirrors. Ugly. Hoping this keeps the big chunks off the car. They will come back off in the spring.

How do the BMW OEM mud flaps Mount? Do you have to drill mounting holes?

Thanks!
