New Windscreen and Rollbar Inserts

Just completed the installation of an UR Windschott glass wind deflector and rollbar inserts. About 60 minutes and $480 later. Easy install - R&R rear rollbar covers, drill a couple of holes in each, install 4 torx screws, slide the glass in and and install 2 hex set screws. Nice clean installation.

My wife was over in the Fatherland and brought it back with her. Windblown hair (hers) greatly minimized - and that's the important part.

Yes, looks really good. It also looks like there is plastic between each roll hoop which you don't get with the roadster solution windscreen. Being female, I appreciate how much my windscreen cuts down on bad hair. I like the shape of the one pictured!

No, but they will ship to the US if you put in your info in the contact section of their web site. I think they quoted me 60 Euro for shipping, but since she was going over to visit I was hoping to save that. Shipping came to the same as the VAT tax that my wife paid in country (and should have gotten a refund at customs - but didn't). So pretty close to same total shipped direct to US. If you call them - they do speak english.

I will give them a call (if I can keep the time difference in mind). That is by far the best looking wind blocker I've seen. Any issues at night with reflections from headlights?

At that price, why would you not just get the OEM version which looks MUCH nicer and works exceptionally well? I paid $350 for my OEM screen from an online BMW parts dealer. It came complete with instructions and two new 'roll bar' covers.

I did the same but I do like the "clear" look of the OP's screen.

How is the experience besides the good look over the standard windscreen?

Does it give less airflow in the cockpit while driving?

I never owned/tried the BMW windscreen, as I didn't care for the look, so I can't offer a comparison. I thought the roll bar inserts were really a nice touch and clever design. Personally I don't really see the necessity of it, but then I ride a MC so I am used to air turbulence and buffeting. It is certainly quieter and less turbulent in the cabin.

Frau K thinks it is an vast improvement in hair disturbance -vs- no windscreen. That alone makes it priceless.
