Memory Buttons

2. Map View
3. Address Book
4. Messages
5. Split Screen Entertainment Info
6. Nav night/day

Generally can control entertainment through mode button and up/down scroll through pre-sets.

Great thread!

Mine are all phone numbers except #6, which is set to toggle "Random" on/off.

I like some of the other ideas posted here and may play around a bit.

You can, but for me since I switch off between AM/FM and Satellite quite a bit, I like to set a button for each because if I press Radio, I would have to left shift/click to select AM/FM or Satellite since it brings you back to what you had last. Too much of a hassle.

How do you have 8 buttons? Z4 only has 6 programmable.

I am not sure why, but mine looks like in the picture below. The buttons are simply numbered 1-8.

Maybe you are referring to the older model (E85)?

Interesting... Looking at all the pictures online, and it does appear to have 8 buttons. When I listed mine, I only listed 6 (I guessed I followed suit since that is what most people did) but if there are indeed 8 buttons, I can't seem to remember what the other 2 are

I definitely have to check it out tomorrow! Too lazy right now

Just pulled up a pic on cars.com of a 2014 and it has 6 memory buttons and then two additional for mode and am/fm I believe.

But BMWUSA inside pics show 8 programmable. Weird! US vs ROW?

I know what AM/FM is - but what is the Mode button for and is it programmable ?

Sorry - got it - Mode changes from what ever you had last - Media, or radio -
