Question sport + all the time?

is it bad for the car to drive it in sport + all the time, other than killing the gas mileage which i can deal with i was just wondering if it put alot more wear and tear on the engine as it seems to RPM much higher before shifting... i have a 2011 e89 35i...

thanx

It's fine. Drive it and enjoy it.

Sport + will not harm the car or wear it out. BMW would not add an option which if used would cause them problems. It's a machine, simply let the oil get a little temp and then drive it like you want.

Fuel and tire and brakes are all use/wear parts.

Sport + all the time for me too.

I run Sport 75%, Sport+ 15%, and Normal 10% of the time (normal is for some really rough roads on occasion).

The only time my car is not in Sport or Sport+ is when my wife is in the car.

DCT program for shift speed is same speed in Sport+ Manual as in Sport Manual, but if DSC is set for Traction or DSC Off, the shift program reverts back to the intermediate speed. I'm not sure I've found a way to be in Sport+ without seeing DSC change to Traction, so 80% I use Sport and I shift Manual.

There were e89 technical traning manuals on the net. Search the forum for a possible link. May no longer be available/accessible.
