Manual Clutch / Transmission rating

I'm considering an ESS tune for my 35i.
In the various threads about ECU upgrades, I've seen several mentions about the transmission load ratings for the DCT or the automatic. Does anyone happen to know how the manual transmission compares to the others with respect to handling the extra stress that the additional torque / HP would cause?

Or is it somehow left up to the operator to control things with the clutch foot?

transmission wise. Manual should handle the extra torque better than the DCT.

It is all speculation at this point.

I don't get the sense from this or the 1er and 3er forums that people are breaking either gearbox, other than that one old post here of someone needing a new DCT.
