BMW 2010-2011 Z4 35i

Alpine White/coral Red - extended
All options... to many to list.

After 8+ weeks and some really frustrating experiences with the sales rep and manager...she was all well worth it! I did find one problem as I looked it over it at the dealership upon delivery. As we reviewed the cockpit and some of the features I asked about the 6 disc changer as part of the Premium audio system. I had the sales rep look into the glove box to check the changer. Much to our surprise it WASN'T there! Several other reps came out to help find it only to agree it wasn't put in. Well, I demanded some kind of explanation and they think because it was at the tail end of the 2010 production line that it was actually on the 2011 line which got rid of the changer and added the newer system. I'm not actually upset at the loss of the changer because it in my opinion was a waste and space and not really intended to be used that much if any.

After speaking to the sales manager etc. They offered to order me the changer and have them put it in. But I though why don't you just put me in a wind screen to replace it. They agreed and I feel the exchange was worth it and more useful. The only worry I have it what else didn't get put in or was a upgrade to 2011 I'm not aware of. Hope I made the right choice to get the wind screen.

I hope some of the tech changes if any were added to my car. They seem to think I got the 32GB audio system upgrade for 2011...hope so.

All in all I love the car and currently in the process of reviewing all the bell and whistles. This car if fully loaded and has a ton of surprises as I review.

By the way...my wife loved the Coral red leather

One thing I notices last night getting the audio settings established to my liking...was that 'm not impressed with the audio quality of the premium system. I'm an audio buff and it seemed a bit flat, not full with the range I would expect of this type system and cost. I set the equalizer as best I could and unless I'm missing something....is thats all it can do? My Lexus system blows it away!!!

...hope they didn't leave out something on the system. Oh yeah, are we suppose to get HD radio with the premium system? I can't find it and it is not an option I can select although it describes it in the manual.

Congrats. Btw the 6 dvd changer is a waste of an option. I have it and I haven't used it as I use my iPhone. The only way I'm ever going to use it is if I get that stupid tvinmotion module that lets me play dvd's. Maybe then I'll burn some continuous music videos.

One thing is cool about the changer is how they stored it in the glove box. But oh well, gimicky I say.

yeah I agree,,, I just use my iphone also. Will probably not use the cd much if at all..

The decision on the wind screen was easy when they told me it was about $500 installed! They said it would take about three hours to install...BS.

I never checked my car to see if it had the DVD changer in it. I was not in it long enough. As we seem to have similar production dates (Mine was 2nd week of December), I'm curious to see if I have similar findings.

Congrats on getting your car. I'm sure you'll be driving it before I'll be driving mine. I have to wait for almost 4' of snow to melt away.....I know, Wanhh! I live where there's snow.

That was about the same time as mine. They indicated that they may have retooled some of the production line for the 2011 and again may be the reason. Not sure I feel that confortable about what might be 2010 and 2011 installed parts etc. also not sure if the robot on the right knows what the left robot is doing up the line.:>)

Nice photos...but you can keep the snow. We southern folks can get real stupid with that amount snow. I saw it this weekend.

Congrats on your new car!! Great color combo. :-) I too opted for the smartphone adapter for my iPhone. Mine fortunately came with a partial windscreen in trunk when I took delivery and they thought it comes with 2010 but failed to come with all the pieces. Therefore they just ordered it and installed it for me when it came.

Can't believe they told you it takes 3 hours to install the windscreen. You can actually do it in about 30 minutes.

Why of course they pad the installation time in an atempt to justify the unjustified cost they want you to pay like all their installation cost. I guess I better get use to it...

It is a 2010. The dealer suggested that some retooling of the production line have already begun and that it is possible that my car being one of the last in the production for the year may have gotten some 2011 features/updates. Thats what I was told but I don't know who to believe.
