7 Speed DCT Shifting

After 10 months of ownership, I am still amazed at the performance of 300 HP Twin Turbo with the 7 DCT transmission. I love lead footing around in Sport+ in Maunal. However, I am so use to a full manual and having to let off the throttle while shifting that I find myself doing the same, letting off tHe throttle, in DCT manual. I know the transmission was designed for full manual shift with the throttle position maintained, it's just a hard habit to kick. Does this lifting off the throttle damage the DCT while n manual mode? Anyone else experience this?

I can't why it would be a problem but I'd recommend getting out of the habit. You'll be much faster if you maintain the throttle.

I too love the DCT.

Keeping the foot planted unleashes all 332 HP.

The 35i really has about 332 HP, as proven by Dynamometer tests. When 280 HP is getting the the wheels, it is a sure bet that a car has way more than 300 HP at the Flywheel.

The 300HP BMW documents is well understated.

The 35is has well more than its documented 335 HP as well.

I am forcing myself to drive harder, longer and shifting faster to break my habit. I enrolled myself in an intense BMW therapy class.
