If you really want the 35is, try selling your car yourself. You should be able to get alot more for an '09 from a private person and then you will be in a better position to negotiate the price for the 35is. You will always lose with the dealer. If you brought back a 35is because you decided you did not like the color and wanted a new 35is, you would still be losing money and the dealer would be making money on you.

I say you stick with yours, add Dinan or JB3 and change the rims to the 326m. I ordered my 326M wheels today for $2488. They said it would take 1 week to come in from Germany. I'm very happy with my car since the Dinan Stage 2 software upgrade. It is plenty fast and has a lot of torque that you can feel in every gear. Yes, you could either put the money towards this upgrade or down on a new IS. I feel I saved a bit more my method and happy with the results.

There's only one thing I absolutely crave about the 35is that wasn't available with your 35i - the walnut interior. Unless you get the "red mist" (as Top Gear's Captain Slow says) for walnut interior, all else can be had with little effort, as suggested above.

Are you talking British pounds?? There's no way BMW wheels cost that little.

Price does not include tires. I will re-use my existing tires since they only have 5600 miles on them. Thanks for reminding me to check on the status today! Also I asked for a discount. Even though you can get 10% off with BMW Car Club you can still haggle with the price on large ticket items just like a car . I called around first, and I notice different dealers give different discounts.

I wouldn't cry BS just yet. Lots of things out there are built right up and need codes or passwords to enable them. software is a prime example, so is the sirius in my car and truck.
Maybe a BMW tech could answer this one....

I'm curious too, only because my CA had left the comfort access off of my order, but by the time I realized it, the car was already at end production and told me there was nothing he could do about it.
Not a biggie for me, as I got the smartTOP module for less money, which has much more functionality (though it was a tiny bit of a PITA to install). I don't have the keyless entry/ignition, but I never cared about that anyway. If this could have been added after production, however, I have to say I would be a bit disappointed in my CA's lack of knowledge (bet that's never happened to anyone here before...)
