Help with new side markers.

This must be a first for someone who put the new FL side markers on. They arrived from my dealer today. Did not notice a scratch along the top of the driver's side light until I put it on. The dealer is sending me another. I get using
floss to get the long lower part off with 3M backing, but any ideas how to get the front piece off that has the metal prongs in back without harming the paint?

Reach in from the inside of the fender with a screwdriver, like you did to get the old sidemarker off. Or am I missing something?

would have to be an aweful small hand. barely a crack on mine. However, you should be able to reach te clip with a long screw driver and push it in.
