Child booster seat laws for 2 seat roadsters

I have a 4 year old that can sit in a booster seat. Is that seat legal in the Z4 because of its auto-shutoff of the airbag?

Search didn't give me any answers.

From a google search it says it's legal, just curious if anyone has any first hand experience or research on the subject.

In Pensylvania it is legal.

You need to contact the DMV in your state and see how the law is written. But most states will allow any child to sit in the front seat if there is no rear seat.

I have grand kids that are age 7 to 4 and drive them around all the time in my Z4

I do keep a copy of the Pa DMV regulations
In my Z at all times. Just in case I get pulled over.

How far we've come through the years.

When I was 4 I sat on two yellow pages stacked on top of one another on the bench seat next to my driving-at-the-time parent (mom or dad), and the only seatbelt I wore was my parents arm that automatically would swing across my chest if they stopped abruptly.

Gosh, I'm getting old, huh?

When I was a kid my dad would shove me in the hatch of his 1981 Mazda RX7 when him and my mom would pick me up from my grandma's house after date night... Oh and he would smoke the whole way with the windows up.
