Just picked up 2011 35is

Hello folks,

Just wanted to pop in and say hi, I just picked up my CPO 2011 35is. I traded in my 2009 35i. Few things i noticed right off the bat were. The 2001 is more well put together, it is little bit more quiter in the cabin and also the torque is much better. The main reason I wanted the 2011 was the ALPINE WHITE. I love the white on the z4, so figured why not go in for a 35is since I am getting a later model. It has all the goodies except for the premiunm sound package.
Is there anything else I need to watch out for on the 2011 35is model year.

Thanks,
Jake.

Wayne, NJ. Funny but I feel that the steering on my 09 351 was more tighter and had more feel than my 11 35is. Shouldn't it be the other way. . Or I could just be getting used to teh fuller grip of the M Steering.

maybe you are just gassing it more through turns and the front end is lighter as a result. haha.

Differences in tire size/type might play a role as well. I am not sure if all Z4s in the US have the speed-sensitive steering, but if not, that could be it as well.

Honestly, for me it does not take more than one week to forget how the steering feels. Last time I got back from traveling abroad I clearly remember being surprised about the steering feel, and it wasn't the first time either. Maybe it is because while traveling, carrying bags etc I become slightly stronger hahaha.

In comfort mode it is a tad heavy, buy in sport and sport plus it does get much lighter. Have you tries them yet?

I had a 2011 35i and my 2013 35is seems a lot more powerful. I don't know if it's really much faster but it seems so. The red car gets alot more attention than my space gray 35i did also.

By the way, on the photo if the front bumper seems darker than the hood it was....had BMW respray the front bumper.
