No seat belt alarm on passenger seat, is this normal?

Since day one, I never got any alarm from the passenger side seat belt. Unlike my E60 , there is a sensor to detect passenger on this side.
Is this normal for all Z4?

Count your blessings, and consider yourself lucky to have ONE LESS annoying, attorney demanded stupid audible reminder designed to cover BMW's ass, than the rest of us.
