Angel Eyes not same color after bulb replacement

I changed the H8 bulb the other day with an LED version. Since this was a previously owned car it already had H8 LEDs in it but they were old. However the new brighter bulbs look good but why are the outer angel eyes are not as bright as the inner ones.

Does anyone know why this happens and what can be done to fix it?

I'm not aware of a fix. I have the same issue you are experiencing, and have tried a couple of different LED bulbs. Another member in the forum may have better info, but it's a limitation of the angel eye design from what I know.

It's my understanding that the halogen bulb provides a bit more uniform light than the LED. I it's noticing noticeable to those who "know" but not real bad.

It seems to be associated with the type of led design on the lamp…I use the these

And have an excellent pattern..the inners and outer safe different due to the light pipe design..but no quibbles ..

Plus if you access FRM coding you can toggle the intensity up..by default it’s dialled back..in part that’s why they look dull..
