How many of you fortunate souls got the phone? I checked not and seems to be out of stock most of the places already.

Not sure why they do that even if you are paying in full upfront. Why not just go through with whatever carrier you use and pay it off sooner than whatever plan your carrier is promoting. You might've been able to get a phone still.

Opened app at 205 central, finished preorder and got the 256gb for launch day. Took a whole 2 min!

it creates issues with unlocking the phone... at&t has always been a pain the ass about it and i think u need to keep it for 90 days minimum before an unlock can be requested

I believe it is so that it can include a sim for you. The phone itself is unlocked.

For some weird reason they asked account (carrier) specific info to process the order for full priced iPhone with att/verizon sim. This was not an issue for T-Mobile and you could complete the transaction without any details.

I tried ordering 4 phones as Christmas presents and had the same issue.

Apple implemented carrier specific options to prevent scalpers... you must have an account with ATT, VZW, or Sprint to purchase the phone, even if you pay full price. If you do pay full price, the phone ship unlocked from the factory. T-Mobile's billing/accounting system is so archaic that it doesn't support this, therefore can be purchased without an account. Of course, these accounts must be for consumer lines only. Business accounts cannot be ordered through the Apple website. Sim-Free models weren't available since supplies were so low.

That being said, I was up at 3AM to preorder. The App didn't update so I ordered through the website. I have TMobile and the delivery dates were Nov 10-17 from the start. Ordered two immediately with confirmation from Apple. I had more than enough time to check the delivery dates of ATT/VZW and they were all Nov. 3. Dates were pushed by back to 5-6 weeks within 30-45 minutes. Pretty crazy.

weird. ive read a lot of people had issues with the whole ATT server check but was still kept in queue even after the 30+ minute wait. so long as you passed the check you held your place in line and got the nov. 3 delivery date. did you have a connection issue? in any case, that sucks.

I ended up getting 4 phones:
- 2 from Apple - T-Mobile sim => delivery 2-3 weeks
- 2 from Best Buy - GSM/no specific carrier => delivery 11/10

Should have went with B/B from the beginning. They didn't ask any carrier info if paying full price.

woke up at 2:45am EST. checked the verizon app and my upgrade was not visible. shortly thereafter, the my vz app froze. i then got out of bed signed onto the vzw website and i showed an upgrade.

by 3:13am i had pre-ordered a iphone x in silver with 256GB for Nov 3 shipping date. received an initial order submitted email, followed by an official order confirmation.

was surprised at how easy it was this time around. hopefully no delays.

excited to finally have the phone on launch day. this hasn't been the situation since the iphone 2g

You should have brought Apple stock yesterday. It's trading up from yesterday's close.

Had to go through my company's site since they pay my bill. Ordered the X and have a 5-6 week wait. No big deal. Early Christmas present to myself!

Is this for your family or you're planning to re-sell them? You might be better off buying apple stock for $3000, you will probably make more money that way and give others a chance to get the iphone X.
