windshield fluid stain
I discovered some stains on my hood near the base of my windshield wipers and where the spray went off at the side of the doors. It kind of looks like someone dropped specks of a cherry pop drink on the paint. Anyway, I tried regular car wash soap and Turtle Wax and unfortunately it's still there. I guess it's baked into the paint and alas I didn't notice it until I washed my car so it's been there for a few weeks.
Any ideas how to get rid of these nasty stains? Thx. |

Is your washer fluid red? With the cherry pop reference? I'd change that fluid out ASAP.
If the Mequires does not work try claybaring the area and whole car. I use Zaino products including claybaring my whole car and it was unbelievable with the amount of junk in the paint surface. Last resorts- Clear coat scratch remover from any good auto parts store. Be gentle. Then Wax wax and more wax to make all rain, debris and contaminants bead off the paint surface.

If clay doesn'[t work, use Meguiar"s Scratch X. It's a mild polisher. Just put it on a rag and rub it in. I use it on my wife's black car when the paint gets etched by bird poop and with a little elbow grease it comes right out.
