Not sure why she kept chasing even after round 1. But at least she got humbled with the knock out. I expect the second fight to turn out differently. The previous women's fight was much better.

It was a great tactic by Holm....people don't realize how much energy it takes to chase an experienced boxer around a much smaller ring....the MMA octagon is huge compared to a boxing ring - or seems that way because you can't corner as easily.

Couple that with the repeated jabs, straight lefts, and kicks to the legs...Rousey was her own worst enemy for chasing, and not being smarter about it.

I don't think that was the case. I think she got beat by someone who was better that night. We will see whats she's made of for the rematch.

I don't know - look and Tyson/Douglas. The worst thing that can happen to a seemingly unbeatable fighter is to lose this way (knockout) and then lose the air of invincibility.

Looking forward to the rematch and a motivated Rousey though

Yup that's MMA....strengths and weaknesses to each fighting style and fighter....no one can possess all strength.

100% my thoughts. Ronda was outclassed. It reminds me of seeing a youtube video - ghetto gangster vs muay thai fighter - it was that obvious.
