The M Sports package has mostly aesthetic things on it.
I believe that is what you're after.

In Australia it includes 1 performance part - the Adaptive M Suspension.
The rest are just for looks:

326M wheels
Gearknob, side sills and steering wheel with M designation
Some skirting which is slightly more aggressive
And carbon aluminium interior.
Oh, and an upgrade to the roof liner to Anthracite.

Other than that, not much. Only worth it for the suspension really, and for a few nicer things to look at - that's all.

The sports package includes:

Adaptive M suspension
Larger wheels
Increased top speed limiter
Sport seats

The M sports package adds mostly aesthetics as the above poster mentioned.

This is a breakdown that I put together when comparing packages (pricing may not be accurate now)...

35i (sports package)...
Engine - Increased top speed limiter, otherwise no change from 35i
Suspension - Upgraded to Adaptive M type
Cosmetic - Sport seats, wheels, etc.
Premium - $2095 (over base 35i)

35i (M package)... Same as "Sports Package" except...
Cosmetic - M Badges, Carbon Trim, Body Kit, M style wheels
Premium - $1090 (over Sport Package)

35is... Same as "M Package" except...
Engine - Tuned to increase HP from 300 to 335
Transmission - DCT (standard)
Cosmetic - Body Kit, wheels etc.
Premium - $3451 (over M Package w/DCT)

In the USA, the sports package is worth the sports seats alone unless you weigh more than about 275 lbs.

So safe to say 'sport pkg' includes M Adaptive Suspension in 1 form or another? I'm asking because the recommended tire pressure changes slightly in the manual depending if one has the pkg or not.

Read the label on the door for tire pressures.
NO, NOT safe....
You are in Canada. The packages are different in the USA. I checked all of them back when I was looking at buying ....In Phoenix and in Calgary.....The Sport package up here does/did NOT have the M suspension. I have the sport package and don't have the M suspension. I can't remember exactly what was included but the M suspension was an additional $1700.

With the Sport and Exec packages there wasn't much left over to get. Sat Nav, M suspension, proximity alarm(parking alarm) and a few other minor things.

Man, it's confusing. I think I'll just go by what the door panel says....that should trump whatever the manual says re tire pressure, right?

the packages were totally different on the Canadian and US configurators when I was looking. The marketing types seem to think we need to be different from the Yanks, who knows why? Certainly not me , it didn't make any sense at all...

And don't confuse the yellow label of pressures with the normal one, the yellow is for OVER 100mph.

Are you confused now?

Nobody ever said BMW's instructions were user friendly....
