Headlights dip & full beam

Guys,

Just noticed that when I turn on my headlights to dipped beam then its only the outside lights that come on & i assumed that on full beam then all four would light up, but on full beam its still only the outside two that light up, is this right ?.

If yes then what are the two inner lenses for ?

I think they are the daytime running lamps.

The inner lenses are for appearance only. Not functional.

Maybe in the USA but not here. The inside lenses have illuminated rings around them which are dim or bright depending on the setting of the light switch ie they get brighter if daytime running lights are on. (as in Canada, it is a legal requirement) Technically speaking , the "inner" lenses don't do anything but the "inner" assembly is very functional.

I believe the USA is one of the few places that does not require daytime run lights on. (that's how we recognize tourists from down south,

No lights on )

I don't think were talking about the same thing. The angel eyes are the daytime running lights but the inner lenses don't have any function. Prove me wrong by taking a picture if you'd like...
