Question about changing to M front bumper

I know there were a lot of threads discussing about changing stock front bumper to M version. Been searching a lot and kind of know what parts are required for the conversion. But today when I checked with my local shop they said something on the support bar on my car needs to be modified in order to fit the M bumper properly. Is that true? Or I should follow this diagram to get only the parts listed in here? And do I need to get the sensor mounts for the PDC too? Can some experts confirm with me on this?

PDC sensors and mounts can be reused, assuming they are not damaged.
