It be a very shall we say soft drive
PS thanks for the milage update ... I'm at 5,807 miles now (9,345 KM) soon to add a whole bunch more my drive along route 66 will start next Sunday. Then up north along the coastal highway and returning back east along the Orion Trail (starting from Cannon Beach OR). Something I always wanted to do. It will be quite an endurance test, hope my HPFP will stand the test of time Keep an eye out for my reports on fuel consumption photos etc. Like your keychain I still have my M3 keychain, will photograph it some day.

Mike,
Did you do a search? I think your BMW Dealer should be able to tell you yes? http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69732

Rolf, What are you talking about? Your link is for an Mk4 Software...
Our cars have an iDrive system. Not what Mike was talking about. |

The Z4 has so many different RIMs. Those look new again, slightly different spoke shape from your first Z4. They look a tad bigger.

Great color combo. I may have to re-thing the red. It looks much better that I thought it would.

The new gray car came with the sports package which include these 18 inch rims. My previous black one had the stock 17 inch ones. I believe that the rims continue to be the same on the 2011. Silver The red always comes out so bright in pictures. I love the combination. I like it much more than the previous car, even though black is always a badass color on cars. I just took the thing to get the windows tinted today. |

Yet another 30i auto has succumbed to this issue, warm car in Sport mode, slowed down below 5mph and the engine dies, no fluttering, just off. Popped the trans into neutral, tapped the brake pedal, hit the button and it starts right up again just like normal, the only light which pops up is the "Engine malfunction with adverse effect on exhaust emissions" [pg 207] which is listed as for Canada only but mine is a German model, so off the BMW after work.
Is there any further info on responses from BMW or a PUMA # so I can help the Dealer help me ? |

I got mine fixed this week. There is a Service advisory to the dealers asking them to update the DME software for this issue. After mine got updated, the sports mode feels a little more like the normal mode: the shifting between gears is very smooth unlike the rev up it used to do. The throttle response does not appear to be as fast as it used to be but maybe it is just an impression. Other than that it is all good.
