Fuel injectors replaced
Sunday morning
The engine starts ok and feels smooth on idle. I drive slowly and stop after about 20 seconds (waiting for the carage door to open). Now the engine is so rough on idle that I can feel it. About 10 minutes later it's running perfectly again and I have no issues the rest of the day. Monday morning Exactly like the day before, but it's maybe a bit rougher on idle. Tuesday morning The engine starts ok, but feels much rougher than before on idle. I start to drive, but get the yellow engine warning light immediately. The engine feels like it's about to stall. I take a taxi instead. Tuesday afternoon Rough idle again, but no warning lights. I drive it to the dealership, and they tell me either to leave it there (and have it serviced in couple of days) or come back early next morning. I choose option B, and have no issues the rest of the day. Wednesday morning Just like the morning before, but this time the car also quickly goes into limp mode. I drive it to the dealership (all the time worried it's going to stall). 3-4 hours later they call me to tell my car has been fixed. They've had to replace injectors 4, 5 and 6. Fixed under warranty and my free loaner BMW 116 was surprisingly peppy. |

I always feed my baby with Shell V-Power, which is still 99 RON over here. We had a period of really cold weather here followed by much milder temperatures (the day this issue started), and I was thinking this could be humidity related, although my garage is not heated.
