Voice recognition

My Z4 has bluetooth, no I-Drive nor navigation.
The voice recognition does not operate except to refer to the phone book which I do not know how to program.
Service claims that there is no voice module, yet the voice responds.
Does voice recognition come standard and how does it work?

good questions - when we picked up our non-Nav Z4 at the Welt the car orientation guy showed us how to work the voice stuff with the phone . . . but never tried again or followed up (I'm helpless I guess)

Not sure if this helps you out or not.

On other systems, I've said, "Phone setup" and then am given options to choos from. Good luck.

to store:
press the voice button, say "Save name", say the name (no longer than 2 secs), say the phone number after being prompted, then say "Save"

to delete:
say "Delete Name", say the name, confirm by saying "Yes"

BTW,

Can you program '*' and '#' into the voice command to store a phone number?
