Exclamation RINGS (Samara Returns!)

The Ring (American Remake) to this day is in my "TOP 5 Scariest Horror Movies of All Time!" And for very good reason. That movie is very unsettling and as nightmarish as they come.
I have eagerly awaited this Trilogy episode ever since I heard about it a couple years ago. As I understood things, there was a challenge with the storyline and locating the correct Writers and Producers. I do know that one of my absolute favorite guys in film is behind this movie: Guillermo Del Torro! So naturally I have high hopes. The trailer is a tad convoluted but the great news is that it will be released this October! That is pretty amazing considering this is the very first trailer released so close to the opening date.
Samara is one of the most frightening horror characters ever!

1st was good, 2nd had a good story but was poorly executed IMO. Not the creepiest movie I've ever seen by far. Now Event Horizon.....scared the piss out of me. Cape Fear is another that had me spooked.

Ring 2 definitely was poorly executed. The first is a legend.
Event Horizon is very underrated.

The Ring was stupid. I watched all of them and wanted to punch that girl in the face and pull her hair.

Ha, the memories!

Back when The Ring came out in 2002, my younger brother was 12 years old and the movie gave him NIGHT TERRORS.

To help him conquer his fear... I made a VHS tape with a bunch of static dead space and then it cut to the part of the movie where Samara was coming out of the well towards the screen (and then came thru the screen, one of the creepiest parts of the movie IIRC)...

One night at 2am I snuck in and put the tape into the TV/VCR at the foot of his bed and hit play. With the volume up, the loud static woke him up. When the static cut to the scene with Samara coming out of the well, all I can recall from that wonderful eve, was the sound of one of the highest pitched, nails on chalkboard shrilling screams coming from my brothers room .

He later told me that he was so scared that he pissed himself as he ran into our parents bedroom.

That said, I think that I may need to check out this new version. Perhaps I'll invite my brother...

That last guy was a little bitch. Talk about being a major coward. Gets the crap scared out of him and then after realizing it's just a girl, sneak-attacks her out of vengeance for exposing him as a big pussy.

Event Horizon +1. Just made my girlfriend watch it, despite all her bitching and moaning (giggity) - loved it.
