Question Z4 35IS bring me down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I traded in my 335i x drive 2 month ago b/c i didn't like the car's suspension.enen though i switched to H&R coilover and both front and back swaybars. then i bought my z435is, i also feel the suspension very lazy and too much body movement ( even with sport plus ) , the car feel not tight enough consider it is a roadstar. Now i have two options , i could trade in the car and get a different veh ( nissan 370z , infiniti g37 ,porsche boster spyder ,bmw m3 or lexus isf ) ,i will lost a lot of money on that or i could buy a set of kw v3 coilover and hopefully it will cure a lof of extra body movement. I love to dr stiff car

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICES

Seems as though you are as lazy as your perception of the cars suspension. You didn't do your homework.

Trade it and buy the Porsche.

Timber511, I am not sure if you are a car enthusiast or this track guy freak (lol)
Get yourself the KW V3 and go out for a ride, find yourself a porsche boxer (spider) and see who will grin at the end of that road
370z , g37 for handling?? Seriously?? lol
Why don't you test drive these first, before throwing your money away (??)

Try starting with a stiffer rear sway bar and ditch the run flats.

Real tires will help, but still no comparison to a spyder.

KW V3's completely altered the dynamic of our E89. We were not satisfied with the out of box settings on V3's, however, once we dialed everything in we were very pleased. I do agree that starting small with the sways might be a good idea. Also, keep in mind you will lose EDC function with KW. If that adjustibility is something you are keen on that might help you in locating the best solution for your vehicle. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me directly.

On a side note the ride height on KW's is amazing

The majority of us put some time and effort into test driving either the 35i or 35is and determined that the car's suspension was to to our satisfaction. Otherwise we would not have made the purchase.

So, if you are used to driving a modded up car and it if is your personal opinion that the suspension is too "lazy" for you, then the best suggestion is to sell the car. The advice is to test drive the next car more thoroughly before you buy it and seek opinions from others that have performed suspension mods to that car.

i'd say upgrade the suspension instead of taking a hit with depreciation and the purchase of an M3 or similar car... you'll find "beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano" to the Z4, and the loser with the track ready M3 gets ignored...

Hard to offer advise here, you need to test drive them all then decide ... I've done similar things as you ... did not do my homework properly ... spend money and lost some of course changing from an e46 to a e85 then to a e89 and finally back to the now e92 ... yes I lost some dollars so what ... money is not everything in life your happiness is worth more ... besides I lost more money in the market in the past 2 weeks with all this up and down movement ....

So treat yourself, test drive them all then decide what your needs are and go for it

Good Luck with that ...

PS ... last shirt has no pockets so enjoy your money today

I second that. The Z4 does a good job at compensating for my diminishing hairline and expanding waistline.

I also get longing, "feel sorry for myself" looks from fathers with minivans full of kids and groceries. Can't get that with a souped up M3.

You must have glass smooth roads. The Z4 35i with runflats is at the limits of stiffness I can deal with as a daily driver.

Also what you may be feeling more than roll is the enhanced polar moment (think thats the term) since you sit practically on the rear axle.

What I have found with the Z4, it does take a little throttle through the corners for the proper set. Don't nail the throttle or abruptly come off either or the back end wants to come around.

also

Read my lips Mr. Blue if you can get the mud out of your eyes

I was not talking to you nor was I mentioning anything that should provoke you to bud in.

I simply told the fellow that I made similar mistakes and that in the end he has to live with the car he purchases ... I fail to see what all this has to do with closure ???

Further more I post here as often as I please, I said it before it is an open forum for I am still looking for a nice weekend car like a low milage Z4 M 2008 (I know there is one out there and I will find it) so you see my interest is still very high on this fine automobile. So stop spitting in my soup okay ... thanks
