Brake & Traction Control Warning Lights ON
I got in my car this morning and as I drove off I noticed a yellow brake warning indicator and the traction control "off" indicators were on. I checked to make sure the parking brake was off, made sure the brakes worked, everything seemed to be normal. I turned off the engine and restarted the car and the indicators then remained off. Has anyone seen this before?

You may have inadvertently turned off DTC. Press the button while the car is on to turn DTC on again and the light should go off.

Happened to me too. As I remembered it, the lights on almost immediately just barely got out of parking space. I definitely remembered trying pressing the DTC button, and switching between normal/sport/sport+, but no luck the lights didn't go off.
Then I turn off and start the engine again, then the lights off. Never figured out what happened.

I had the same problem yesterday, just backing out the carpark and all 3 lights came on. switched off, restarted and all appears well. Not sure what happened there.

In general, stopping, shutting down, and restarting is a good first thing to do for any anomalous alarm indications, failure of electronics to work right after starting, etc.
The Z4 is a highly mobile computer powered by a gasoline engine. |
