Fuel Pump Whine?

Hey everyone. Very happy with my new '09 3.5. I promise to get some pictures up as soon as I can.

Question for those of you with a new Z: Does your fuel pump seem unusually loud? With the radio off at a standstill, I can clearly hear the fuel pump. THe sound is constant - it doesn't get louder or softer with warm-up, but it seems louder than on my 2003 Z4 and before I took it into the shop, I wanted to ask if anyone else had this issue.

I haven't noticed a fuel pump whine on my car. This is my first Z. I sure hope they have resolved the fuel pump issues by now. I hope you don't have any problems with your car.

Hi there,

I had a really loud fuel pump wine in my Z4 too. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the fuel pump (warranty of course), and now the wine is gone.
So... go to the dealer!

Where are you likely to hear this noise (left/right, front/back of car)?

and you are very close to the engine... you will hear noises. .LOL
