Side Roundel replacement

So I just noticed this afternoon that the side roundel on my mom's Z4 has gone missing. It looks like it was just the top sticker portion that just fell off or something. Do I need to replace the whole thing or can I just buy the sticker portion and put it back on? Are the hood roundels and the side roundels interchangeable? I can't seem to find exact what I need to buy online. Any links would be greatly appreciated! It looks so cheap right now. I gotta fix it ASAP. Thanks!

You can by stickers on eBay. Are you sure that that's an OEM roundel? OEM's aren't made with stickers.

My thoughts exactly, or more specifically: "WTF!?"

Its probably after market? Maybe? One that's black or carbon effect and isn't great quality. But then we're talking BMW and to be fair for what you pay, sometimes the quality isn't great at OEM level.

No worries OP, I have the exact thing going on with one of my side badge too. It looks exactly the same as yours.

Thanks for the responses. I have no reason to believe its not OEM. The car only had 1 previous owner with a couple thousand miles on it so I strongly doubt he did anything after market to the car. BMWs are great but I've always thought the trim pieces are crap.

I found a replacement online for the whole piece but this thing is bear to get off. I'll post the replacement when I can get it on.

Yes that the OEM. the top part is a thin metal roundel. It is epoxied in place and over time can fall off. I was actually contemplating writing up an article on how BMW doesnt car about their brand since i see BMWs everywhere with this exact issue.

You can buy the entire thing on getbmwparts.com for like 30$ USD.

Thats just how they are. Just happened to mine about 6 mos ago, first the side, and then the hood. I replaced both with new. About $35 each. You have to pry them off VERY carefully. There are youtube videos on how to do it. But they just pop right out.
