Well, havenīt ridden it myself yet, but the guy who did the diff final gear swap, has .... he reports almost unbelievable leap in performance... lemme cite his saying:

"It runs like ///M3 e46 of mine"

Needless to say, his M3 already undergone a heavy race-track-aimed tune.. I feel like wanting a spring to come asap....

Well, already have .... 17% more whp definitely turned the beauty into the beast (or what ?) ......

I guess he did not exaggerate, now 30i runs truly somewhere in ///M3 e46 range

I'll believe it when I see the dyno.

Well, having run few hundred kilometers I guess I got the message.... the fun factor gain is (in my eyes) simply worth every single buck it cost ...

Whatever gear I shift in now, it runs like hell, even against a steep hill climb...

But, to be honest I gotta admit some downsides, too: 0-100kmph cannot be covered on first+second gears anymore, at around 80kmph I must shift a third gear, and the mileage dropped by approx same ratio the diff had been cut (with the "summer driver" I donīt care a bit about).

And, needless to say (and apart from the driver who somehow became definitely the slowest part of the car ), a brakes performance (I still run OEM sezup ie 330/24 mm rotors front a nd 300/20mm rear) seems to becoming inadequate now... two or three "dramatic" slowdowns and a significant fading appears...

I think I know what I will be doing next winter....
