Arrow New 2010 Z4 spied without camoflage body shell

PHOTOS ==> http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134665

BMW's next-generation Z4 has replaced its heavy black shell with a
thin veneer of its new graphic camouflage. Despite the vomit-inducing
nature of the Z4's new disguise, it's a huge step forward in terms of
assessing the evolution of the roadster's styling. Many of the
polarizing features of the current Z4's design have been toned-down,
for what appears to be a much more elegant look.

looks like 6 series rear but then you never know what they've put under...
wheelbase seems to be longer than current Z4?

Looks interesting! The headlights look pretty different...I can't really tell how they'll end up looking. That line that sweeps from the hood to the sides is also intersting. I'm not crazy about it losing the current Z4's super small rear deck though. It looks a little too long to me. In fact the whole car in general is a bit too big imo.

Does look a little longish. Adding dual exhausts - seems to be a new theme.

Any word on engines? Will it be offered with the N54?

i think its a step in the right direction from the previous z4. hopefully they dont make the interior as poorly as the old model as well.

+1

Looks quite big especially noticeable from the side profile. I think the grilles look weird but who knows? they could look much better when they are uncovered. They are at least sleeker, as will the rest of the design be compared to the more funky current model.

Yeah I'm sure the interior will be better. Anything has to be an improvement

Speaking of the current Z4's interior, I have something to say about it.

When I sat in it for the first time, my initial impression was "this can't seriously be a BMW". It looked/felt downright cheap in comparison to all the other models. However, when you're driving one of them, it all feels just right. The M Coupe's rather dull and somewhat rough looking guages are a gem to use in action.

I have to admit that it could use some touching up in the materials dept., and maybe some cleaning up in design. I was just very surprised to see how much of a departure it was compared to all the other models.

Whoa...I didn't think much of the grilles until I read this and took another look. I thought they were just covered up, but those look like the final shape...interesting...

I think the problem with the Z4 interior is the fact that it's very plain. It would look great with an I-drive system built into the centre of the dash. The steering wheel is about all I like from the interior. Also, I hate the way the dash has a big CHUNKY strip across it instead of a thinner 1 like other models. It looks terrible in Aluminium trim.

Yeah man. This is the kind of thing that makes me like BMW. I know that these sharp lines are cues from the CS Concept and will feature across the rest of the model lineup. BMW's designs are consistent, even if you dont like them.

Look at other brands (apart from Audi and Merc etc.) They always change their designs so rapidly and nothing links their models together. They are just random.

I think the Z4 looks mean there. The grille looks sleeker, the headlights will follow the shape of the protrusions, and the bumper looks chunky. It isnt your standard centre intake/2 side intakes. Looks very clean and original.

hmm -- how come BMW moved from Z3 to Z4 at the last redesign but this new 2010 model remains a Z4?
