Went to a Jaguar drive event a couple of weeks ago. They had a F-Type on display there -- let people sit in it, but unfortunately not drive or play with the roof (roof was down) ...
It is a very nice looking car. Appeared to be quite a bit bigger than the Z4. The trunk is very deep, but also very shallow; very unpractical, especially coming from a Z4. I have a feeling the auto disappearing door handles are going to be a source of frustration -- I just can't see them work reliably all the time. But ... it all does look very nice in person. |

Went to the Jaguar Drive Alive event yesterday in Rye NY. They had an autocross course and a 0-60 run which in I drove in an XKR.
Here are some admittedly poor camera phone shots of the F Type, their guy said it was the only one in NA at the moment. It is a soft top. No one there had driven it yet. And a shot of the inspiration- the E Type

A sort of mix among the Z4 (side line, fenders and proportions), the new Boxster (soft top, exhaust pipes position, head lights) and... the Audi R8 (some interior features)...
