Brakes - recommendation
I've done my search on the forum on break and found instructions on replacing them. I'm looking for recommendation on which brand/model to get. This is over my head on what's good and what's not.
I have 2009 Z4 35i. Bought it a couple of weeks ago and rotors are lipped and I started getting an intermittent "Brake" notification. So I figured I'd start fresh and get everything reset for both front and rear. Rotors, pads, sensors, etc. Please advise and thanks in advance!

No need to think so hard on the matter.
Go to ecstuning or fcpeuro and pic something out from their list of choices. You wont be dissappointed in anything they carry. |

I've read that if you pick the wrong one, it will warp so better pic a good one, but not sure what a good or better one is.
Ill check them ecstuning and fcpeuro. Thanks.

That pulsing feel that everyone calls "warped rotors" is explained by a number of different things But the only one people remember is "warped rotors" so it gets handed down to the next generation of drivers and it won't go away. Certainly there are true cases of warped rotors but it is an anomaly from extreme circumstances - not a routine occurrence the way internet forums will lead you to believe. You are over thinking the problem. If its a daily driver and your mechanic skills are limited bring car to a non dealer BMW garage and have brake job done.

In the original post he said he could feel a lip on the rotors. The brakes are probably worn and he's grounded the brake wear sensor. He may also have low brake fluid if the brakes are really far gone.
