NYC Independence day fireworks, good spots for viewing with the gf?

Hey everyone,

Loved the east coast so much in October that I'm already taking my gf back there, just one week of NY this time!

Since it was a Bday gift I figured why get fireworks over here if we can go across the pond and see some there!

I was wondering what the prime spots for watching it are according to the members here? I've seen some boat rides offered but not sure what views they get! If I'm not mistaken it'll be fired from the east river this year?

Yeah they're over the East River this year.

Maybe try FDR Drive near the Manhattan Bridge? That should give you a good view, or buy tickets now for the river cruises they'll be doing.

Promenade in brooklyn Heights. There is a park there as well.
