5.1 mix

Idk if anyone is into critical listening in 5.1 but there is a Blu Ray 5.1 mix of Tears for Fears, Songs from the big chair that is quite good and sounds amazing. Having listened to this album quite a lot during high school freshman year, I have heard it dozens of times but it has never sounded so good. Pick up a copy and give a listen.
It has a new stereo mix that is amazing as well.

Good to hear. I can't tell from the picture of the music case, but what 5.1 is it encoded in? Is it AC3, DTS, or DVD-A?

What speakers are those?

Here's my multi-channel system.

Nice system. The newest addition to my system is the Oppo BDP 103 Darby Edition. Still waiting on Audio Advisor to send me the Vincent Audio PHO 700 tube phono preamp I ordered 3 months ago.

Don't know when I'll replace the Meridian 568.2MM I have with a newer surround processor. So for now, I'm stuck with DVD-A as the only hi res multi-channel audio I can run on my system.

I think you be fine
I recently added a 120" 2:35:1 stewart roll down screen with a JVC projector. I strongly suggest this set up if you are a movie lover. Its hard to watch films on the 65" after this. Also the 105 with its analog outs really brings films to life.

Nice. I sometimes wonder what if I had put a little more emphasis on having a projector based video system instead of the route I took. I wanted audio performance first and then video. I settled on my 60" Pioneer 141FD. Had it calibrated by D-Nice from AVS Forum.

I went back and forth on whether to get the 105 or the 103. I opted for the 103 as even with the lower resolution AC3/DTS feeds the 568.2MM does a very good job with the audio quality. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a Classe surround processor or something similar. But that next upgrade hasn't really been on my priority list. After upgrade-itis for years, I've reached a point where I'm actually satisfied with my system. Plus I can't justify spending the coin for a better processor at the moment. I got pretty much everything in the multi-channel and 2 channel system before meeting my wife a few years ago. She'd have a heart attack if she knew how much I spent on my audio toys.

I had the 151-FD prior to the Panny ZT 65. The 141 rocks!
