parking space review
Hi everyone, i just want to show you where my cars sleep at night, feel free to share some pics of your lovely Z at home. I live in condos appartement whit two indoor parking spaces. First pic show my Z in her garage this one's special it is completely enclose whitout any neighbor, note the styrofoam on each side of the wall to prevent the doors from hitting the concrete. Second pic show my wife A3 it's also our winter dd we really apreciate the check on the passenger site concrete wall so the door can be open all the way. Third pic show my X5 i had rent that space from and old lady who cannot drive anymore a little tricky to get there but it worth it. So this is it, how about you show us your "stable!"

I did have one with my 6 series which was much better build quality and they are the same price.......typical BMW pricing!!! Having said this I use it on a daily basis and have the knack of getting it on and off as though opening a garage ish!!!! Great for protecting from all elements sun frost snow etc..... You do have to keep the car clean from dirt/grit before you put it on as clearly if the wind blows it would act like sandpaper, you can put it on a wet car slow long as it does not freeze. Keeping the car clean is no issue, always looks good!!! |

That's the Cadillac XLR-V and previous CTS in our garage. Sorry we don't have a current picture showing the 2010 S35i and 2012 CTS. Some of you have seen this write-up before, but for those who may be interested, here's some info about the garage: http://edsandra.com/esgeneral/Garage1.htm Best regards, Ed

Keep in mind we purchased our parking lift about 6 years ago. We thought the price of $3,200 which included shipping from the west coast to North Carolina was very reasonable. However, we thought the cost of installation by a local company was on the high side at $1,800 even though they did a very nice job.
We have been extremely pleased with the lift and for those who may be wondering, it hasn't caused any concerns or premium increases from our homeowner's insurance provider. Our particular model is no longer available, but there are plenty of newer choices from the same vendor: http://www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/parking-lifts/ Best regards, Ed

AAARGH ! What upsets me the most with this thread, is not all the pictures of wonderful cars that each person has !!! it's the size and layout of your damn garages they are brilliant!!! In the UK they build houses with so called garages that you cannot fit a car into, or if you can get the car in, you cannot open the door without hitting a wall to get out!!! They have become storage units, everything on the cheap and cram them in to maximise profit, why they insist on still calling them garages is beyond me !!! end of rant
