Nope! It just doesn't float.....

All the roads have been flooded nearly everyday around my way. I've been using other modes of transport.

Some scary flash floods last week. The ground is that wet now even the slightest shower results in the main road becoming the Amazon.

The hottest I have driven top down was 44 C as per the dash readout.
That makes it about 110 F.

In our summer, we regularly get above 40 C on my drive home. or about 104 F. I put the roof up when it is going to storm.

Sitting still in traffic is is alright as the A/C blows on you. I wear a hat and long sleeve shirt.
Moving it is also OK, especially when it is more humid as the breeze is nice.

Winter (now) and the coldest I have had the top down is about 2 C, or about 36 F.

Its nice with the windows up and roof down, the thermostat set to 22 C.
You get a nice warm bubble in the car.
I tried the seat heaters but they get too hot even on the lowest setting.

Having a passenger changes everything - most just want a ride, and are not interested in the "experience".
That being said, my 4yo daughter had her first ride in the car last week - in a booster seat.
She loved it and kept putting her hands in the air to feel the breeze, even though it was a cool 9 C outside.

You proberly know that I made that trip in my then sDrive Z4 35i with my daugther we had a wonderful time the wine tasting in the Napa Valley was first class.

I spend 3 months in your wonderful country (Sidney, Adelaide, Whyalla SA, Australia and Perth) so I know about your summer weather. I liked Perth with all the glass doors on the houses, however, I liked Adelaide the most the city, Indian ocean the beach and the near by Bourassa Wine Valley (spelling). Have to go back there again, loved the people very family orientated I found.

Ouch 109 in SC with prob 90% humidity. See in Vegas it's always hot 102 today I think but no humidity.

I actually lived in Las Vegas before moving to SC. I miss the dry desert heat! I had my Honda Del Sol when living there. I never had the roof on! I loved Vegas weather but little else about the place, sorry!

Just had our first sub 100 degree day in over two weeks! It's even been too hot to go out on the Triumph, let alone the Z. We had a break today, a high of only only 92 deg!

Is it just me or are the seats in the Z4 warmer than other cars? I tend to sweat on the back more than in other cars, wonder if it's the sun reflective seats ... or could be my driving style I guess

Dont know, but I find I never have to turn on the seat warmers. My own body heat does get captured by the seats - its like wearing a coat against my back...
Only my arms and ears get cold.

That is exactly what it feels like. The AC is literally freezing my front - and my back feels like I have a coat wrapped around my shoulders.

My first 'summer' with my Z4 and the weather has been awful here in the UK.

But wait, what is that I hear? A hopeful weather forcast for the coming weekend? Could summer finally be about to arrive? Hoorah!!!!!
