good luck you will need tweezers to get to that cap. It took me all of 30 seconds to remove a hose and cap both ends (once i purchased the correct caps). After doing this mod its ridiculous how easy it is do.

I didnt I used a stitch stopper, which worked out better as solid high grade rubber so dont have to worry about melting of any sort. You should be able to pick these up in any sewing section of a hardware store. It comes in a pack of 4. The big one on the metal end and the medium one on the plastic end. the 2 small ones are of no use. Fits like a glove and easy grip to remove.

Just coming back from the test drive after the golf tee mod. My initial reaction was very positive. Standing still, it's definitely a much deeper sound coming from the right pipe. However, I think that set my expectation too high. The difference is barely noticeable on the road

By the way I bought the set mentioned above but couldn't find one that fits on to the metal part. I got the plastic tube already but I also want to cover the metal opening. Any suggestions?

it should be the same size as the plastic tube so try the same size for the plastic on the valve. it doesn't have to be tight as the oem tube is pretty loose and it was able to close/open the valve

I just did this mode a week ago. Must improved sound at the start. Barely noticeable while driving.

I think I need to delete secondary cats... I'm looking for a good shop in Miami to do that.

With my DCT and the plug disconnected like in the photo, at start up and idle it sounded a little deeper. During up shifts though i lost the awesome "brap" sound (don't know how else to describe that lovely sound).

Anyone else?

I did lose the brrap sound when upshifting/downshifting. Can someone confirm what RPM the flaps open and close? Also when letting go of the gas while upshifting/downshifting, does it close/open the flap that causes the brrap sound?

I believe it's 2500 rpm.

Ended up undoing the golf tee mod. Too annoying to be in 6th gear and hearing a humming noise.
