Opinion on Interior Trim Upgrade

I am looking at 2 pieces that I see on ebay. It will replace the leather on the arm rest area and the leather on the door.

The primary difference is just yellow stitching, (I have the atacama yellow so its black and yellow interior. The description says the skin cover must be glued over the interior trim.

So I need opinion. How do you guys feel about this? The upgrade is just very minor, yellow stitching, and I'm not sure what glue it would refer to and if it will damage the leather underneath if I decide to remove it later.

seems like it would likely be bulky or bumpy putting it over the original leather.
i don't know what type of reliable adhesive you could use that wouldn't damage the original leather.
if you want it that bad, maybe take off the original leather & put on this?

Based on the photos on eBay, the leather doesn't look that great. Other than the stitching, you should also consider the texture or sheen and grains in the leather that may make it look very obvious this was an aftermarket job. If it was my car, I would leave it alone.

Stay away from this!

This is not how you'd upgrade/change your trim, you'd have to strip the original one first. As other members said, the type of leather is also hugely important. If the grain size, pattern, shininess, etc is different than stock, you'll see the difference and it'll look horrible.

Your options would be ro stick to OEM parts or replace all trimmed surfaces... unfortunately neither are cheap.
